Bigben and Eko Software have shared the first gameplay for Warhammer: Chaosbane.
Chaosbane markets itself as “the first Action-RPG to take place in the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles.” By that, they mean that its set in the Old World, before the End Times and the ensuing cataclysm that ushered in Age of Sigmar.
The trailer, featured above, is the first real glimpse of gameplay that we’ve seen so far. In it, a developer named Chris narrates three minutes of gameplay that highlights two of the game’s playable characters as they fight the disgustingly resilient servants of Nurgle in Nuln’s sewers. Konrad Vollen is an Imperial captain that focuses on melee combat and crowd control, while Elontir is a High Elf mage that specializes in long range spells that can be redirected on the fly.
The trailer also shows off some of the game’s drop in, drop out multiplayer.
Warhammer: Chaosbane will be out sometime next year for Windows PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
