Final Fantasy XIV Moogle Treasure Trove returns March 14

Final Fantasy XIV

Square Enix has announced the return of the “Moogle Treasure Trove” event in the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV.

The Moogle Treasure Trove is an event that happens a few weeks before a large patch is set to go live. The intention of the event is to reward players for going back and completing content considered undesirable or frivolous by the playerbase in order to help new players complete it.

Players who complete select Dungeons, Trials, Raids, and PvP instances will be awarded with Irregular Tomestones. These tomestones are tokens which can be redeemed for exclusive cosmetics and other goodies usually obtained through grinding or other means.

Featured this time is the Mameshiba Earrings, a new cosmetic item introduced for the event. Other rewards include the Euphonius Kamuy Flute, a mount which is a rare drop from the Hells’ Kier Trial and the Tamamo Headband, a fox-eared headband which could previously only be exchanged for “sassho-seki fragments” received in a difficult and rare Stormblood FATE.

As usual, the activity which rewards the most tomestones are the Main Scenario dungeons “The Praetorium” and “Castrum Meridianum”. Both of these dungeons are already part of the Main Scenario Duty Roulette and will reward a bountiful amount of EXP or endgame tomestones for level capped characters.
