Square Enix has revealed some new tidbits regarding the upcoming HD remasters for Final Fantasy X and X-2 over on the Playstation Blog.
The first thing to be confirmed is the release date for the Playstation Vita version of the remastered games – both are coming on March 18th, the same day as the Playstation 3 version. A lot of Playstation Vita fans were concerned that the Vita versions would come separately, but Square has some news that will put you at ease – both games come together at the $39.99 price point. The Vita version has cross save functionality between the Playstation 3 version, if you just so happen to buy both. Unfortunately, the games are not cross-buy as there is a lot of content across both HD remasters.
Square Enix also detailed the collector’s edition of the game, which is coming exclusively with the Playstation 3 version, and it is also only available on Square Enix’s online store. The collector’s edition will set you back $79.99, and supplies will be limited.
You can peep out the collector’s edition below:
The collector’s edition comes with a 40 page hardcore art booklet, featuring sketches, environmental art, and character designs. The book is divided in half, each section devoted to each game. The second disc pictured above is the remastered soundtrack, which also comes on a bluray, and has more than six hours of music set to images from the game. The last of the goodies are the five lithographs that have eye-popping artwork from both games.
