Final Fantasy VII Remake Part Two Will Have One Director, Not Three

Final Fantasy VII Remake Part Two Director

Naoki Hamaguchi, co-director on the first episode in the Final Fantasy VII Remake, will be the sole director for the upcoming second Final Fantasy VII Remake release.

The news was confirmed in a new interview with Final Fantasy VII Remake co-director Tetsuya Nomura with Famitsu, who noted he’s quite busy with the other newly announced Final Fantasy VII games, and more.

“As I mentioned earlier, I personally have an unprecedented number of projects in the works, including three related to “FFVII”. The base gameplay of “FFVII REMAKE” has been solidified with the first game, and I can see what needs to be improved in the future, so I’ll leave the director of the next game to Hamaguchi (who is the co-director of “FFVII REMAKE”),” Nomura said.

He added, “I’ll be involved as the overall creative director for “FFVII” including remakes and mobile games. I will be involved in all aspects of “FFVII” including remakes and mobile works as a creative director. The basic way of working will remain the same, and I look forward to continuing to work with you.”
