20th Century Studios has announced a Fight Club 4K remaster, a full ultra high-definition remaster of the cult classic 90s film by David Fincher.
The new Fight Club 4K remaster is being produced with a brand-new 4K master approved by Fincher himself, and will also return to theaters for one night on April 22nd to premiere the new remaster.
A full home release for the Fight Club 4K remaster will come not long after its theatrical re-premiere, on May 12th via both digital and the very swanky SteelBook physical release, seen above.
Originally premiered in theaters back in October of 1999 and based on Chuck Palahniuk’s novel of the same name, Fight Club stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter in an anarchistic thriller about an insomniac white collar worker that gives up everything to start an underground fight ring. It bombed during its box office run but in the years after has become a cult classic, recognized as a landmark film of the 90s and a symbol for gen X.
If the big 4K remaster wasn’t enough for Fight Club fans, New Regency and Insight Editions ae releasing a companion Fight Club 25th Anniversary art book featuring never-before-seen visuals, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes goodies.
Fincher’s other cult classic 90s film, Se7en, also finally released its 4K remaster last year after fans waited for years, though USA fans didn’t get the glorious “What’s in the Box” Edition that UK fans were offered.
