Hot on the heels that Elden Ring is selling a lot, we’ve learned Elden Ring will go beyond games, according to Bandai Namco.
News that Elden Ring will go beyond games was tucked within the press release confirming the game sold over 12 million copies worldwide. Bandai Namco teases that the Elden Ring IP will be “expanding beyond the realm of games,” which could mean anything – novels, manga, a TV anime, or even (unfortunately) a Netflix live-action series.
The entire blurb actually notes that fans can “look forward to more of Elden Ring as an IP (characters and other intellectual property) in hopes of expanding beyond the realm of games.”
Bandai Namco elaborates further on when Elden Ring will go beyond games, with company president and CEO Yasuo Miyakawa adding they’re planning on “expanding the brand beyond the game itself, and into everyone’s daily life.” Could this mean Elden Ring energy drinks? Or perhaps Elden Ring-branded Boss coffee?
