New Elden Ring mod adds Fallout: New Vegas style survival mode

Elden Ring

Elden Ring has already taken the world by storm with its success, and fans keep playing or modding the game.

The game has already sold over 13 million copies since it’s initial launch back on February 25, 2022. The game was developed by FromSoftware – known for their Dark Souls and Souls-like games, along with their notoriously hard difficulty. Now, a modder has now come along to make the game even more challenging.

The modder, known as Grimrukh, shared a new look at their upcoming mod for Elden Ring. Previously, they’ve produced mods for Dark Souls so it makes sense for them to work on the spiritual successor to the franchise.

According to them, this new “survival” mod features many things that appear in Fallout: New Vegas’ own survival mode. These include having to manage hunger and thirst, where players will have to hunt creatures and cook up their meat in order to satisfy their needs.

This mod will also feature a crafting system to upgrade weapons as well as region specific diseases which player will have to seek out cures for.

Diseases are set to not easily be caught after being infected a first time, and curing one a second time will grants players with immunity to that disease. This makes things fairly manageable as a playthrough progresses.

However, this mod has yet to be released at this time. Grimrukh has promised the mod will launch some time on June 6, after a premiere stream by a livestreamer known as Lobosjrgaming.

So are you interested in this mod? Are you someone who enjoys Elden Ring and has been looking for another excuse to jump back into the game?
