Doug TenNapel, the creator of Earthworm Jim, has announced a new official comic series based on the titular worm himself.

While details are scant, the new comic series will be only available via Indiegogo, and not at retail – so this sounds like a one time sort of deal if you’re a fan. TenNapel teases the comic will be “the only time the epic origin has been told by the creator of Earthworm Jim.”

In related news, a brand new entry in the Earthworm Jim franchise was recently announced, exclusively for the Intellivision Amico. The entire original team is on board for development, including Doug.
