D3 Publisher has officially announced Earth Defense Force 5.

The game was revealed at this year’s Sony Interactive Entertainment pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, following a leak prior to its planned announcement.

Featured above, you can view the game’s announcement trailer. The latest in the bug-killing third person shooter franchise will launch sometime next year in Japan, for PlayStation 4.
