While rumors for a new Earth Defense Force release have been swirling around for a bit now, the next game’s announcement has been leaked through a smartphone companion app for use with the Tokyo Game Show (via Jin115).

There weren’t any game details or anything particularly interesting about the game that was leaked, just the existence of the game.

D3 Publisher’s list of games to be shown at the event merely lists EDF5 as a completely new entry in the series, meaning they’re set to reveal Earth Defense Force 5.
