The latest Weekly Jump has new details for Dragon Quest Builders 2.

As the game is a sequel focusing on you rebuilding a destroyed world after the villain has won – you’ll also have to cultivate the land and its ruined soil.

You’ll be able to place scarecrows to signal for other inhabitants of Monzola Island to start plowing fields. Once you plow the field, you can plant crop seeds – which the villagers water and then you wait for plants to grow and bear fruit.

Monsters will naturally try to get into your fields and crops, to which you’ll have to fight them off. You’ll eventually get the Builder Bell – which you can ring to enable the making of new items. You’ll also get Builder Tools, hammers and other items that are equipped separately from your weapons.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is launching for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on December 20th in Japan.
