Japanese developer Sting announced a surprise release for their DOKAPON! Sword of Fury remaster on Switch, in western regions.

Their DOKAPON! Sword of Fury remaster is now available for Nintendo Switch globally (via the eShop).

The remaster is based on the 1998-released game of the same name, developed by Asmik Ace Entertainment. It is the third entry in the Dokapon franchise and was never released outside of Japan.

DOKAPON! Sword of Fury was originally released for Switch in Japan in August 2024 and later ported to Windows PC (via Steam) in January 2025.
