Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless demo available now in the west

Disgaea 7

A demo for the upcoming game Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is available now on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

The latest installment in the Disgaea franchise sets it up for a more uniquely Japanese aesthetic featuring characters like a Yuki-Onna.

Join protagonist Fuji for a Disgaea adventure that’s bigger and better than ever before! Dive into the demonic realm of Hinomoto where the bushido code is out, and the Hinomoto Code of Destruction is in! Consisting of a myriad of netherworlds, Hinomoto is home to a multitude of demons, each with their own beliefs. Enter bushido fan-girl Pirilika, a naive and rich young lady who manages to convince Fuji to protect her as she pursues her ambitions. But there’s more to this contract that meets the eye, so be sure to check the fine print…

Disgaea 7 also includes new and returning mechanics such as item reincarnation and “Dodeka MAX” attacks.

In case you missed it, you can find character trailers for Fuji here, Piririka here, Weiyasu here, Seafour here, Suisen here, and Ao here.

Disgaea 7 is set to launch on October 3 for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A demo for the PC version is noticeably missing, possibly to thwart data miners or avoid a repeat of the incident where the full version of Disgaea 5 was released via the demo.
