Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Launches June 29 in West on Switch; Bonus Content Detailed

Disgaea 6 Defiance of Destiny

NIS America have announced the western release date of tactical RPG Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, along with the game’s bonus content.

As previously reported, the Netherworlds across the multiverse are being destroyed by the God of Destruction; a being that appears without rhyme or reason and devastates all in its wake. Yet, a young zombie boy called Zed waltzes into the Darkest Assembly, and claims to have defeated it. While Overlord Ivar doubts his capabilities, the secret may lie in Super Reincarnation.

The new trailer not only confirms the new release date, but the bonus content coming to the game. This includes four characters from prior games that would typically be DLC. These include Adell, Rozalin, the female version of Laharl, and Asagi. This also includes their own stories.

It also features a brief interview with NIS president Souhei Niikawa. He explains his surprise of the series’ popularity in the west, and that the series was able to continue because of them. When asking for feedback for fans, Niikawa briefly states he doesn’t know if they can incorporate everything, but they will “surely take it into account when it comes time to make Disgaea 7.”

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny launches January 28th on Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 in Japan; and June 29th only on Nintendo Switch in the west.
