Nippon Ichi Software has shared the fourth official trailer for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny.
As previously reported, the Netherworlds across the multiverse are being destroyed by the God of Destruction; a being that appears without rhyme or reason and devastates all in its wake. Yet, a young zombie boy called Zed waltzes into the Darkest Assembly, and claims to have defeated it. While Overlord Ivar doubts his capabilities, the secret may lie in Super Reincarnation; and what you do to help him!
Alongside numerous returning elements (such as item worlds, the Dark Assembly, Squads, the Cheat Shop and more), players can now perform team attacks with up to six characters, raise characters to level 99,999,999 (with max HP and damage reaching over 99 quadrillion). The game is also fully 3D during battles.

In case you missed it, we also recently looked into claims if the game would be censored in the west; mainly due to the suspicious omission of a busty female character- Melodia- from a recent English trailer. While our findings based purely on the information available provided no concrete answer, strong arguments could be made for at least that character’s cleavage being censored.
In the above trailers, we see that scenes where Melodia is seen from the front (only a piece of artwork) featured a blur over her chest. The Japanese trailer has gameplay featuring Melodia seen from the front- along with her deep cleavage.
While it seems all but confirmed that at least that character is censored, this may be NISA’s attempts to avoid the video being restricted on YouTube. Other screenshots on NISA’s website still feature busty characters, and the Succubus class’ buttocks in exposing underwear can be seen in the English trailer. We will keep you informed as we learn more.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is launching for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on January 28th, 2021 in Japan, and only for Nintendo Switch in summer 2021 for the west.
