With the Diablo IV beta approaching and Microsoft still trying to complete their Activision Blizzard acquisition – many speculate the game will be on Xbox Game Pass.
Despite the hype, game director Rod Fergusson was quick to strike down any speculation today – noting there are currently “no plans” to bring the hotly-anticipated ARPG to Microsoft’s subscription.
“It’s awesome seeing the excitement around the Diablo IV Beta, and our Wolf Pack puppy!,” Fergusson said. “We’ve been getting some questions about D4 on Game Pass and I want to let you know we have no plans for that. See you in Sanctuary during the Beta Early Access weekend starting on March 17!”
If you want to get in on the forthcoming beta – you can get a code by preorder or buying chicken from KFC.
The game’s big open beta is being held in two blocks: for pre-orders from March 17th to the 19th and then for everyone from March 24th through the 26th – read more on about the beta here.
Diablo IV is set to launch on June 6th, 2023 across Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
