Indie developer Toby Fox has announced DELTARUNE is finally getting its next and final free chapters sometime next year.
The long-awaited next two chapters for the Undertale follow-up are 100% coming sometime next year, according to a recent post made by Fox to celebrate Halloween.
“I’m very eager to show you what we’ve made since 6 years ago,” Fox said. “Chapter 3 and 4 will 100% come out in 2025. The specific time is still relying on localization and console porting. Please hear me clawing at the door trying to escape the shallow coffin I have been buried in.”
The original release for DELTARUNE came way back in 2018 with Chapter 1, followed by Chapter 2 in 2021. Since then, we only got an update from Fox that both chapters were nearly complete 1 year ago, on last Halloween.
While both the original two chapters for the game are available for free, once Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 are done the game will switch over to a paid release.
Though it currently remains incomplete, DELTARUNE is available on Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 with its first two chapters.
