Ghost Ship Games has just dropped their trailer for the fourth season of Deep Rock Galactic titled “Critical Corruption”.

This new season adds a swarth of new enemies, new cosmetics, and some interesting improvements and features. Over the past two months, the developer slowly drip-fed teaser videos before finally dropping the new season announcement in May.

Now the trailer has come out for the upcoming season detailing what exactly is coming to Deep Rock Galactic, you can check it out below.

The biggest change of course, is the new enemies which includes a wandering Plagueheart monster. The monster will spread the “Rockpox” lithophage plague wherever it crawls, miners will need to call down a cleanup kit to break its outer shell before laying the hurt on it.

New enemies are also being added to the base game including the Glyphid Stingtail, a glyphid that will snag dwarves with its cave leech-like tail and ram them with its horn; alongside the Glyphid Septic Spreader that will fire globules of nasty gunk like a ground-based Mactera Goo Bomber.

Other changes include crates full of jet boots that can be found during your mission, as well as a randomizer for equipment and loadouts for self-imposed challenges.

During the last storyline event with the “Rival” company on Hoxxes, it’s a bit disappointing that we aren’t getting a new mission type like Corporate Sabotage related to the Rockpox. But then again, Ghost Ship Games might be holding that as a surprise.

Deep Rock Galactic is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S and Microsoft Windows (Through Steam).
