Deep Rock Galactic, the cooperative shooting game about blue collar dwarves on a space mining rig is getting ready for its fourth season.
The new teaser trailer shows us surveillance footage of the dwarves on the mining rig going about their business. Someone, or something is watching them.
Ghost Ship Games is really putting the “tease” in teaser, since they aren’t really giving us a lot to go off of. As a result, fan speculation is running wild.
Some fans are anticipating some new Mission Control type role, other think this may have to do with the “rivals” from seasons 1 and 2. The most interesting theory points out how subdued the dwarves are, one dwarf is mindlessly kicking cans, another is browsing through his equipment, and another is just working on a terminal.
Deep Rock Galactic is known for the cartoon antics of the player dwarves and leans into it heavily with funny voice lines and pings; but the dwarves in the teaser are too quiet… almost like they’re not the dwarves we know.
