Deep Rock Galactic is no stranger to seasonal events, with the Halloween and Holiday events happening a few months ago, but the space rig never stays quiet for too long.
As we recently had the Yuletide festivities, the dwarves now enter the Lunar Festival, a time for celebrating the Chinese new year.
Players who log into the game right now will be able to complete the Lunar Festival assignments to gain some exclusive rewards, like the hat below:
Alongside the rewards, players will be able to take in all of the celebration, as the space rig is also fully decorated with the Lunar Festival theme.
Deep Rock Galactic, the in-universe Management company made a point to make entirely new decorations rather than reusing last year’s ones, as a thanks for the amazing 2022 that the game had.

Deep Rock Galactic Lunar Festival
The Lunar Festival officially starts today! There is plenty to enjoy in this first (but definitely not last) Seasonal Event of 2023. As the moons of Hoxxes converge once again, here is the list of what you can experience:
The Lunar Festival Assignment – a celebratory opportunity to put in some extra hours for the company – and to get handsomely rewarded in the process.
- The Lunar Rabbit hat – Rewarded for completing said assignment.
- A decorated Space Rig for you to enjoy with your team members while wearing said hat
- An opportunity for Double Season XP awarded when you find and deposit decorative rabbit statues during missions. Yes, the Longbeard freighter carrying the shipment crashed onto Hoxxes…again. Management has some questions for whoever signed the exclusivity agreement with Longbeard Freight.
- And as has become customary, you will of course get last year’s Lunar Festival hat when you log in during this event.
Deep Rock Galactic players should hurry, as the event only lasts until February 2nd, 2023.
