The Playstation 4 exclusive Deep Down has a lot riding on it, but we still have no idea when to expect the game to land on Sony’s latest home console.
In all of the developers’ New Years messages last night, Capcom’s Deep Down team had their share of words pertaining to the game, and what to expect in the coming year.

A translation of both messages can be found below:
There’s only a little bit of time until this year ends. Deep Down was announced back during the PlayStation Meeting 2013, afterwards it was playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2013, where it managed to nab a Future Division Japan Game Award.
We’d like to thank everyone, and thanks to your continued support we’ll work hard so that everyone will be able to play as soon as possible next year!
We’ll continue to provide new information next year, like the trailer that we released on the 27th.
While this is far from a confirmation of when the game is coming, it’s something at least. What’ll be interesting to see is if the game retains the tentative name “Deep Down,” or if they adopt something entirely new. We’ll keep you guys posted.
