Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Grounding, Inc. are releasing a new social deduction game Death Note: Killer Within next month.
Death Note: Killer Within is coming to Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on November 5. The game will also launch as part of PlayStation Plus.
Fans are already drawing comparisons between the new game and the hit game Among Us, both games involve players on two teams trying to figure out who’s the killer, or killing the other side until they win.
Although rather than drastically outnumbering the “Detectives”, teams will be evenly matched in Death Note Killer Within. This is offset by the fact that it appears that the Killers won’t know who’s who amongst each other.
Here’s a rundown on the game, plus its reveal trailer:
DEATH NOTE Killer Within is an online social deduction game for up to 10 players. Players will be split into two teams with different objectives. To win the game, players will need to figure out each other’s identities and either eliminate L who threatens Kira’s power or seize the Death Note.
