Dead Island 2 has released a new “Meet the Slayers” trailer featuring Ryan, an exotic dancer and playable character in the upcoming game.
The game is the long awaited sequel of the original 2011 from developer Techland that became famous for its dramatic trailer.
The sequel from publisher Deep Silver sharply pivoted from the somber tone the original might have tried to evoke with more humor and an almost as memorable trailer.
Dead Island 2 is set to be a more action-filled romp than the original and new characters like Ryan will bring their own special traits and abilities. Ryan in particular is a tanky sort of guy and even if he isn’t a real firefighter he’s athletic and tough with abilities like
- Retaliation: Ryan gets a moderate Force boost when using Block or Dodge to avoid an attack.
- Seesaw: Ryan regains health whenever he knocks down a zombie.
These abilities aren’t exactly themed for a fire fighter or an exotic dancer, but it’s clear where the developers were coming from when it comes to his intended build.
