We’ve learned the Daemon X Machina producer is promising a sequel, news confirmed in a new livestream for the game this week.
“It’s not really an announcement, but I’d like to make a strong statement at the end that we’re going to make the next game, or rather ‘2’.”, Marvelous producer Kenichiro Tsukuda said (via Games Jouhou).
He added, “I’m very motivated, and I need time to test things out and think about what I’m going to do next, so it’s going to take a little time, but I’d like to get more new people involved, and the game itself is going to change from time to time, so I’m wondering what I should do. I’d like to start from here. I’ve made a declaration, but it will take some time.”
While the Daemon X Machina producer is promising a sequel, it remains unclear how well the game actually sold both digitally and at retail. It has received a number of updates in the months after its release, however the updates haven’t been as frequent with Marvelous’ internal teams seemingly moving onto other projects.
Daemon X Machina is now available for Windows PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch. You can find our review of the Nintendo Switch version here.
