Here’s some comments from key staff:

Message from Hiroshi Miyaoka, Director of Cygames and author of the original series

We are pleased to announce that Cygames will take over the rights to “Metal Max”.

We feel that this transfer of rights is a great opportunity for the “Metal Max” series, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. As the author of the original work, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to KADOKAWA and Kadokawa Games for their willingness to accept the transfer, and above all, to Psygames for welcoming us.

I, Hiroshi Miyaoka, as a director of Cygames, will be working to reboot the “Metal Max” series in a serious way. At this point in time, we are still in the delusional stage, but I hope that the series will be reborn in such a way that it will reach not only the fans of “Metal Max” but also the hearts of RPG fans all over the world. We look forward to your continued support.

Message from Kenichiro Takaki, Producer, Cygames

Metal Max” is one of the many great games that fascinated me when I was a student. I am very proud to be a producer of “Metal Max,” one of the many great games that fascinated me when I was a student.

I feel that this is a challenge for the entire game industry, and it is also the mission of Cygames, a company that strives to “create the best content possible. I am very honored to be working on “Metal Max”, a game that I have had the privilege of working on again. We are now starting the project to make it the best consumer title ever. Please look forward to it!

The most recent game in the series is Metal Max Xeno: Reborn, which has been available for PC, Switch, and PS4. Metal Max: Wild West was in development, only to be cancelled by Kadokawa Games.
