The highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update is now officially released and developer CD Projekt Red have shown off all the new features coming in the free update meant to coincide with the Phantom Liberty DLC set to come out next week.

They released a list of most of the changes on their website, which they do make sure to note is not a complete list of all changes done.

Notable changes and improvements include a revamped police system, vehicle combat in both first and third person, better enemy AI during combat, perk tree overhaul, and new weapons such as smoke grenades and the thermal katana are now available.

They’ve also done a number of balance changes that’ll impact gameplay such as enemy levels now being based on player rather than area, weapons scaling based on tier and loot scaling based on player level.

Finally it’s important to note that Cyberpunk 2077’s PC requirements have changed as a result of this update, meaning players might need to upgrade their components in certain areas. Mainly the game now requires SSDs instead of HDDs and CPU usage is now higher.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows (through Steam). You can also read our review for the game right here.
