Japanese publisher Nippon Ichi Software and GetsuFumaDen developer GuruGuru have announced Cursed Warrior, a new 2D dungeon crawler RPG.

Cursed Warrior is in development for Switch, PS4, and PS5 with a release set for early next year, on March 26th, 2026 in Japan.

Curse Warrior is a dungeon crawler RPG where you explore and conquer the cursed underground labyrinth known as Eclipse.

Within the dungeon, party members can become cursed through various actions. Curses alter members’ abilities and actions, forcing players to constantly monitor their party’s status and make critical decisions on how to proceed. Manage and adjust the effects of curses to build stronger characters and conquer the dungeon!

Story

This is the tale of a great adventure accomplished by an adventurer one year ago.

The city of Echoes is a vital transportation hub facing the rich seas. Its residents lived in constant fear of monster attacks spilling forth from the nearby underground labyrinth, Eclipse.

You, an adventurer in Echoes who took on small requests and exploration jobs, received a certain request. It was an exploration and monster extermination mission within the Eclipse dungeon. Apparently, the entire town of Echoes was calling upon adventurers to eliminate the monsters.

Exploring a dungeon filled with curses and overrun by monsters would be dangerous… Still, you decided to fight for the town–with hopes for the town’s peace and the treasures sleeping within the dungeon in your heart…
