Criminal Girls 2 is Leaked by Amazon Japan

criminal girls 07-12-15-1

We’ve learned (via Hachima Kikou) that Criminal Girls 2 is currently in development.

The news comes via a banner that was prematurely uploaded to a PS Vita page, on Amazon Japan. You can view it below:

criminal girls 2 07-12-15-1

The listing mentions the game for a November 26th release in Japan, on PS Vita. Judging by the above banner, it seems like there’s an entirely new cast of girls that you’ll have to presumably train and punish, much like the original.

In case you missed it – we reviewed Criminal Girls: Invite Only on the PS Vita, you can read more about that here.

We’ll keep you guys posted.

Since Imageepoch is, well… You know…

I’m guessing Nippon Ichi might be taking over? Maybe Great Edo Blacksmith was a practice run for this.

Since it mentions a November release date, perhaps this is something they already planned to have completed (like Stella Glow) before they are completely defunct?

Oh, that’s possible too. Definitely makes sense if they aren’t putting much fanfare into it and it’s coming so soon.

I enjoyed the first one. I wonder how they’ll continue the story. Perhaps it is a parallel team of girls.

Interesting what the new sins will be. After the revelations I wanted to leave a couple of them in hell.

Wow considering the rollercoaster that Imageepoch recently went thru, Im actually more interested on the details of the game than the game itself.

    Oh I love that whining…

You already assumed that they will localize the game which proves how awesome they are.

I don’t like any form of censorship but I did play Criminal Girls.

And all I can say… that it’s not really that heavy censorship. It’s stupid as hell because they left many risky punishment scenes… while censoring few of those less risky.

Not to mention that CG is way more risky than anything in game… and it’s left untouched.

But hey, don’t mind me… I played game for game itself not for risky scenes.

Some of them aren’t fan of these games. They join communities and act as a part of it until they hold some kind of power to destroy and do the changes they like. When a website is reporting for niche gaming and they go against their audience and tell them the games you play are destroying the industry and are bad, what do you think? They are having these website to profit from us and they don’t care about us. I remember one of the websites asking the developers of Criminal Girls, why did you add fanservice to the game? People will like it more without it. I mean they are the face of niche gaming and we don’t know what they tell the Japanese developers behind the scene. Fuck them. #rant

That excuse really doesn’t fly when other games have content not that dissimilar from Criminal Girls and get released just fine.

Either way even if it is down to the ESRB or PEGI, that doesn’t excuse it and it certainly doesn’t mean it’s okay to do it. Don’t buy the game if you don’t like how the western release is handled. It’s not like the vita has region lock anyway.

I rarely read my native language forums for similar reasons. They don’t report on niche games or ecchi games but they don’t mind reporting GTA or big games with sex scenes and the other reason when he put pictures of weekly releases he goes like ah hmm so he get comments insult the games. He also said that Omega Quintet looks like a ps one game so I didn’t bother anymore. But there were a players who don’t mind playing ero visual novels or Senran Kagura. Not really PEGI

    ESRB and ACB (australia)

Most of times Europe get censored either because:
    1. US version got censored
    2. Europe gets additional censorship because of ACB
    3. Game really needed to be censored.

  30. Fenrir007
    July 12, 2015 at 4:45 pm

Not only is NISA the undisputed champions of censoring, but they also manage to sometimes fuck up and create additional and critical bugs in the process.

  31. Phelan
    July 12, 2015 at 4:55 pm

    Again for 100th time.

Publisher asks the developer of game to implement changes. NISA asks Koei, IF, NIS etc. to implement changes required for localization. Most of times they don’t even have access to game code.

NISA is handling only publishing and hiring translation agency or translating it by themselves.

If you want to blame someone blame Koei, NIS, IF etc. Not NISA because bugs are not their responsibility.

Throwing shit is so easy when you don’t understand the process of localization. I understand this… some time ago I was as oblivious as you are.

  32. Fenrir007
    July 12, 2015 at 5:18 pm

NIS and NISA are the same, bloody company. They managed to introduce a console overheating bug in “Witch and 100 Knights”, a game made by their parent company, NIS. Nothing you said here applies to that.

XSEED does the very same thing NISA does, except:

    1- Despite being smaller and having less funds, they manage to add features to the game (normally by mixing features from different releases);

    2- They don’t censor their games as NISA does;

3- They don’t add ebin memes everywhere because obliterating the personality of the characters is a great idea!

Disgaea is also a NIS game. There is no excuse for the problems in it.

Incidentally, I do blame Koei for the extraordinarily shoddy ports (and you can even see me on the Steam forums complaining aboiut their games) they make and I don’t buy their games because of that. Same goes for NISA games, which, when I really want, I buy them used so no money goes to those hacks.

  33. Phelan
    July 12, 2015 at 5:32 pm

    No they are not.

Just as XSEED and Marvelous Europe ARE NOT the same as Marvelous Japan.

XSEED does SHIT. They are not even in 10% as capable as NISA which is one of the best publishers in Europe. Who is releasing most of XSEED games in Europe? XSEED? Aksys? Atlus? No NISA!

Marvelous Europe (which for you probably = XSEED acording to your logic) did censor game.

Read this as you seem to believe whatever Xseed says.

“How so? I have no direct contact with Marvelous Europe. I overheard someone in the office saying something about this after a Skype meeting with them, but the last thing I’d heard about it was that the dev team in Japan didn’t really want to create two separate masters, so Europe would probably just be trying to get the issue waived.

Apparently, they were unsuccessful to that end, and Marvelous Japan had to master the game twice anyway. Which likely means either Marvelous Japan or Marvelous Europe had to actually pay QUITE A LOT EXTRA in order to get the game released in all the target regions.”

Notice how he said about jap dev team. He mentioned it because publishers even those related to company which made game DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO GAME.

Publisher in Europe/ NA contacts japanese developer to implement changes. And they need to pay for it! Marvelous Europe clearly said that they would have to PAY Marvelous Japan to even make patch uncensoring game.

Despite game being censored because of their DAMN MISTAKE.

  44. BaronKrause
    July 12, 2015 at 11:34 pm

Not really, you can get away with pretty much anything with a M rating including nudity. A game without nudity has nothing to worry about, any censoring in this case is just the company trying to avoid bad press form anyone who doesn’t like the content, and they get no sympathy or understanding for that.

  45. BaronKrause
    July 12, 2015 at 11:37 pm

“But hey, don’t mind me… I played game for game itself not for risky scenes.”

Isn’t that like reading Playboy for the articles? Why would you do that?

  46. Dgnfly

and how would you explain parent backlash if that happens will the fan be paying the lawsuit bills?

  47. BaronKrause
    July 13, 2015 at 12:54 am

Probably by pointing out the fact that said stupid parent incorrectly bought their kid a M rated game.

  48. Dgnfly
    July 13, 2015 at 12:55 am

yes but like with all controversial games somehow get into kids hands and that excuse diden’t work for those title’s for the company.

  49. BaronKrause
    July 13, 2015 at 12:58 am

It doesn’t matter after that, no one gets to sue the company because their kid somehow got a rated r movie with nudity from someone. It was given the proper rating. If they need to blame someone they have to find the source they got it from or just accept that in the end it was their fault.

  50. Dgnfly
    July 13, 2015 at 1:00 am

that easy to say but that isen’t Facts in U.S you can sue anything and anybody for no real reason. and if what you suggesting is so why is Rockstar constantly being sued for GTA and not the retailer that sells it?

  51. grgspunk
    July 13, 2015 at 1:00 am

Actually, I’d rather prefer it if our North American localization companies stayed away from publishing games in Europe and simply focused on localizing games for the NA market. I’d rather leave the European localization work to companies that are actually headquartered there, like 505 Games or PQube. Import if you want to complain about it.

When you’re doing the localization work for both NA and Europe, there’s too many audiences they have to tailor their localization. Ideally, if they’re localizing a game for multiple regions and censorship is inevitable, they should censor content for the countries that will not tolerate it, and make another version of it intact for the countries that will. But I’m sure it doesn’t always happen. There’s always the possibility that if they have to change something in a game, they’ll just change it to appease the country with the lowest tolerance for “questionable content” and release that same localization everywhere else to save money.

That’s why I’d rather have NIS America stick with releasing games for America. If they really want to dive into the European market that much, there needs to be a seperate “NIS Europe” subsidary that has the rights to the same games as NISA, but operates completely independent of they do when it comes to localization work. That way, whatever localization/censorship snafus that occurs in one region won’t be as likely to spill into the other (like how Marvelous Europe removed the subtitles for the dressing room scenes for the European version of Senran Kagura Bon Appetit, while XSEED kept them in the NA version).

Who knows? The staff of a theoretical “NISE” subsidiary might actually be better at localizing games than NISA. Then us NA guys might have to import from Europe.

  52. BaronKrause
    July 13, 2015 at 1:04 am

Because like you said you can sue for anything. People aren’t winning these lawsuits aside from maybe ones aimed at retailers who sell the games to kids without an adult.

The people who would flip out over their kids seeing the content in these games would flip out over the slightly censored version of the content just the same. Censored or uncensored, its not meant for kids.

  53. Dgnfly
    July 13, 2015 at 1:07 am

the content is lolicon that means childporn in the U.S and europe. even if it’s drawn and not real you could go to jail for it. so offcourse they would tone it down. and you even admit you can sue anybody in the U.S so like i said would fans pick up the bill if the company get’s sue. that awnser is simple NO they would just walk the other way.

and the company doing this are to small to have a lawsuit at every game they release that has lolicon content.

  54. BaronKrause
    July 13, 2015 at 1:10 am

Its animated nonsense, nothing sets the age except the age in the character bio. Most other companies simply change that when localizing.

  55. Dgnfly
    July 13, 2015 at 1:15 am

yes that’s something we fans would say. but that woulden’t be when you ask ppl in general if you showed em a picture off the characters and asked how old do you think this is. they would go with a underaged number.
