Thanks to the recent whirlwind of video games industry events, there’s an incredible amount of new stuff for third-person, multiplayer shooter Splatoon to get through. Below we’ve rounded up the best of the best videos, as well as recently released renders from the game.
Splatoon will be coming exclusively to the Wii U some time this May.
Let’s get to it.
Recap
Nintendo did a round-up video of their time at PAX East, which explains all about Splatoon, interviews people who played the game about their experience with it, and shows off plenty of more gameplay from the game.
As the video points out, this shooter’s basic conceit is different than any other’s. In addition to running around the map with a weapon, players’ characters will be able to transform into squids and swim through the color paint they’ve splashed everywhere.

Two new weapons clips have made their way online, one featuring a giant paint roller, and the other video a (rather more expected) paintball gun.
Miscellany
We also get a look at the multiplayer shooter’s mascot, a boxy, fat cat, and you can listen to Splatoon‘s theme song sans gameplay SFX below.
