One thing that RPG fans may notice while looking through the Steam store is that there are a lot of RPG maker games that all look and play alike. While there’s certainly a market for them, they tend to fill up the search results with their all too similar look and design. Sometimes however, an RPG maker game is made that stands out from the pack. One such game is Amber Throne, an game that looks quite a bit different than your usual RPG maker title.
Asking for votes on Seam Greenlight, Amber Throne‘s biggest advantages in getting noticed are its art style and music, both of which stick out amongst its peers. Using hand-painted images for its backdrops and sporting a musical score that seems fairly high in production values for an indie project, Amber Throne might be an RPG worth keeping on eye on.
Development seems to have been going on for quite some time, since a 2013 thread on the RPG maker forums reveals more screenshots and info than the Greenlight page does.
