One of the major successes for CD Projekt RED when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077 came in the surprise hit of the anime series based on the game. So it’s no surprise that more plans for animated projects are in the works by the company.

The Polish company announced new animated projects are in the works, via CEO Michal Nowakowski in a recent earnings call.

In the Q&A portion of the call, he stated they are “definitely planning to do more in terms of animation.” While he said we can expect to see more in the future, he couldn’t give more details at the moment.

Currently it is known CD Projekt RED is working on releasing The Witcher 4 and a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. So it’s likely these animated projects will be related to these upcoming titles. We already know of a live-action project for the latter, and the former already has a live-action adaptation of its own via Netflix.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a massive success and definitely played a role in helping the game reach over 25 million sales. So it’ll be interesting to see how the company continues to work on expanding the franchise.
