Out of the Blue and Raw Fury have just announced first-person adventure puzzle game Call of the Sea during Microsoft’s Inside Xbox presentation.
As stated on Microsoft’s official website [1, 2], the game is set in the 1930s, with Norah searching for her missing husband’s expedition on an island in the South Pacific. Voiced by Cissy Jones (Firewatch, Walking Dead Season One), she will learn she is capable of far more than she ever dreamed.
While the “otherworldly adventure game” is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, or rather how those stories were told (as oppose to the horror aspects).
“We want you to solve the mystery we have created, slowly realizing that there is more to the world than meets the eye and piecing together what has taken place before you arrived on the island. We’re after the sensation that comes when the mind tries to grasp a solution that lingers, tantalizingly, almost within reach.”
Out of the Blue is a brand new studio founded by 12 developers who’s previous experience includes Red Matter, Metroid: Samus Returns, Deadlight, Gylt, Celeste, Guacamelee 2 and Spacelords.
