Microsoft have announced their Xbox 20/20 presentations, monthly showcases of upcoming games on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and other Microsoft gaming projects.

After the cancellation of E3 2020 in March due to the coronavirus pandemic (even digitally in April), numerous companies including announced they would be hosting their own digital events around the same time. These include MicrosoftDevolver Digital, Ubisoft, and EA.

Now, Microsoft have elaborated more on the details of “Xbox 20/20.” Once a month, beginning on May 7th, there will be an Inside Xbox presentation (now dubbed Xbox 20/20), showing “what’s next for Xbox Series X, Xbox Game Studios, Xbox Game Pass and Project xCloud.”

For the May showcase, players will get their “first look at next-gen gameplay, trailers and sneak peeks from a wide variety of publishing partners and independent developers across the globe and industry.” This includes the recently revealed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The presentation will also confirm what games utilize the Smart Delivery feature (allowing players to “always play the best version of the games you own for your console, across generations”). July’s presentation will focus on games from Xbox Game Studios, and brand new game announcements.

The announcement also re-affirmed that the Xbox Series X and Halo Infinite is aiming to launch Holiday 2020. PC players can also look forward to major releases being available at launch via Xbox Game Pass for PC, including new titles and “Halo Infinite, Wasteland 3, Minecraft Dungeons and of course, Microsoft Flight Simulator.”

Project xCloud will also be expanding to new countries and on new devices. Later in 2020, Project xCloud and the Xbox Game Pass will “come together, enabling you and your friends to play together in more ways.”

The first Xbox 20/20 will broadcast on May 7th at 8 a.m. PT across Facebook, Mixer, Twitch, Twitter, and YouTube.

Curiously, Bethesda announced they would not be hosting such an event. Rumors also claim that Nintendo will not host a Nintendo Direct in June, due to complications caused by the ongoing pandemic.

IGN also stated they would host a Summer of Games in June, and Geoff Keighley announced his own Summer Game Fest. Both events hope to show off new game trailers, announcements, and more.
