Focus Home Interactive has re-revealed their January 2014-announced Call of Cthulhu game.
The game is now being developed by Styx: Master of Shadows and Blood Bowl developer Cyanide Studios, with the original developer Frogwares being dropped. A reasoning for the switch was not confirmed – however we’re assuming there were development woes to fault.
The game is now set for a PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One release sometime next year. Two screenshots were revealed to show off the game’s current look, which you can view above and below:
Call of Cthulhu is being crafted in Unreal Engine 4, and is described as a psychological horror game with stealth mechanics, all of which is set in a “deeply immersive” world.
You’ll be tasked with finding out the truth behind the death of a renowned artist and her entire family – only to slowly discover that the cosmic entity, the great dreamer, Cthulhu, is beginning to awaken..
