Developer QuByte Interactive announced Breakers Collection will support rollback netcode and crossplay.

The game will also launch with a series of other improvements such as a replay system, profile customization, online lobbies, as well as a team battle mode. There will also be a gallery full of artwork including official and fan art for Breakers from the original 90s advertisements.


The Breakers Collection will including Breakers and the sequel Breakers Revenge.

Here’s a rundown on the game:

Breakers is a 2D fighting game released by Visco, on December 17, 1996, for the Neo Geo and arcades in Japan. It features a roster of eight playable characters, from all over the world, competing against each other in a fierce tournament.

A sequel, Breakers Revenge, was released on July 3, 1998, with additional playable characters, balance adjustments and new gameplay elements.

Breakers has gained a cult following since its original release in Japan due to its solid gameplay and unique elements.

Breakers Collection includes Breakers and Breakers Revenge from the cult fighting series that started in 1996 on Neo Geo and arcades.

The compilation features additional modes such as a training mode and online versus, which is built using rollback netcode.

Breakers Collection was previously delayed to sometime in 2022 across Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
