Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night tops 2 million copies, VS and Chaos modes teased

Publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay announced Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has sold over 2 million copies.

The new milestone was reached as of August 2023. The companies also revealed the game’s new “VS” and “Chaos” modes for the first time, both of which add multiplayer to the game.


“We apologize for the long delay between updates. The development team has been busy working on the new VS and Chaos modes, both of which include online multiplayer play for the first time,” the team said in an update. “This has resulted in some challenges and delays that we that we did not expect, but we continue forward! We are nearing completion of the new content.

More information on both the VS and Chaos modes will be revealed on September 14th.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available on Windows PC (via GOG, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, iOS, and Google Stadia. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we highly recommend it!)
