Next Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Update to Bring New Character from Another World

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

505 Games and developer ArtPlay have announced the next update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will add a new character.

The blog post on the games’ official website states that the team is continuing to address technical issues that have slowed down their production timetable. This has resulted in a time-frame for the fixes’release being too early to declare as well.

Nonetheless, the blog post states the next update will bring a new character to the game. This is different from their previously released roadmap of updates. The character is noted as not being from the world of Bloodstained.

“We have been working closely with a well-known partner to bring their character (and a friend) into the game.” This would suggest the character are some form of duo, akin to Banjo Kazooie. As with prior characters, players will be able to explore the whole map, acquire certain abilities to access some areas, and improve their rank and class of the character’s special ability.

The update after this will include Chaos Mode, complete with co-op and Vs Mode multiplayer. In earlier news, 505 Games stated a sequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was in the very early planning stages.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available on Windows PC (via GOG, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, and iOS. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we highly recommend it!)
