Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night final update out now

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay have released the final big update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, adding new game modes and cosmetic DLC packs.

The big 1.5 and final update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now available for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation and a bit later for Switch on May 16th.

Here’s a rundown on the update and the new content packs:

The new update includes two free game modes and a free Shantae cosmetic pack, plus three premium DLC cosmetic packs to their gothic smash Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The update and the release of the three premium DLC cosmetic packs will follow on Nintendo Switch later.

The first new game mode, named ‘Chaos Mode’ sends players into a series of randomized rooms populated with demons, with difficulty ramping up the longer you survive, whilst ‘Versus Mode’ is a fast-paced PvP mode against another player in a fight for survival. Online functionality for “Chaos and Versus Mode” also allows players to participate in Co-Op and Multiplayer PVP.

The free Shantae cosmetic pack gives Miriam everything she needs to dress up as Shantae, everyone’s favourite Half-Genie Hero! The premium DLC Cosmetic Packs, available for purchase on the game’s Store page, include the vampiric ‘Succubus’ pack, a ‘Magical Girl’ pack, and the Japanese-inspired ‘Japanesque’ pack – each with a variety of weapons, costumes and accessories. If you buy all three of the DLC packs as the ‘Cosmetic Bundle’, you’ll receive the three packs for the price of two – now that’s magic!

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been available on Windows PC (via GOG, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, and iOS. Check out our review on the game!
