Ubisoft recently canceled numerous unannounced titles, raising concern one game was Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Some wondered about the fate of Beyond Good and Evil 2, even though it was already announced and therefore shouldn’t be part of these cancelations.

An Ubisoft spokesperson said the game’s development is reportedly unaffected by these recent changes.

“Beyond Good and Evil 2’s development is underway and the team is hard at work to deliver on its ambitious promise,” the rep said (via PCGamesN).

Unfortunately, this doesn’t give much details on when it can be expected for Beyond Good and Evil 2, which was announced very long ago.

The game has had a troubled development cycle, to say the least, and while Ubisoft says their recent issues won’t affect development – it’s hard to believe this will remain the case as time goes on.

Meanwhile, the game appears to still be far from complete. It hasn’t had any appearance at any major showcases lately, but there is a Netflix film adaptation expected to come out in the future.
