A new anime for the beloved Berserk series is coming in the form of “Berserk: The Black Swordsman“, courtesy of several talented fan animators.

Berserk: The Black Swordsman is being created by Studio Eclypse, who previously made another fan project called “Attack on Titan no Requiem”, which was an alternate ending to the series.

The studio described their project as aiming to “create a proper 2D adaptation of the stories that have been neglected of this medium, starting from the beginning”.

The 2016 Berserk anime was criticized for having awful art and animation, so fans are particularly happy that this project looks like it will have actual care put into it.
