Become a Citizen of South Park in This Oculus Rift Prototype

You can now walk around in the world of South Park in an even more interactive manner from The Stick of Truth (the recent RPG game by Obsidian Entertainment) via a virtual reality project created for the Oculus Rift, by a production company named Tool.

Featured above, you can watch Youtuber emart explore around the town of South Park, see all of its iconic characters (and even some more obscure ones), and even enter the church of South Park, only to find a terrifying twist that leads him to a very dark place.

“We started with three goals in mind for the experiment,” Tool’s explained on their project’s website. “One, from a tech point of view, to sharpen our Unity and Oculus Rift development skills-two, from a creative point of view, to reimagine a well known story by allowing the user to experience it in the first person and-three, to finish the project in time to share with our friends at the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival.”

If you own an Oculus Rift, the prototype is free to download from the project’s website.
