Band Saga is Funded on Kickstarter

The musically inclined Band Saga has been funded on Kickstarter.

Featured above, you can view some newer gameplay for the title straight from this year’s Tokyo Game Show. If the Kickstarter campaign reaches the following stretch goals, the game will be made available on those respective platforms:

  • $45,000 on PlayStation Vita
  • $55,000 on Wii U
  • $60,000 on PlayStation 4
  • $100,000 on 3DS

Right now, Band Saga is sitting at roughly $29,000 dollars, so it’s definitely possible we can see the game on Playstation Vita, at the very least.

As it stands, Band Saga is coming to PC and iOS in January of next year. If you’re interested in Band Saga, head on over to their Kickstarter campaign.

Appreciate the piece, but the details are off.

The stretch goals were revealed weeks ago (Wii U was announced later due to confirming details), not 24-27 hours before the game’s kickstarter ends (which would be insane).

Rekcahdam as he puts it on his Twitter is “A musician, hacker, game dev. hybrid race known as Rekcahdam w/ only 1 member.” He is Roger Hicks, a musician since a young age who has made contributions to Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe as well as projects he would probably mention like Pulse Boy and Celestial Mechanica.

It is a two man project yes, with many more musicians involved in the project yes, but this seems like a haphazard article.

Apologies for that – I will admit I threw this together rather quickly, mostly to help get the word out for the game’s final hours as soon as I could.

I’ve amended the article to reflect the stretch goals without the confusion of timing and everything – thanks for pointing that out man!

I don’t normally see you commenting on our site, so I hope this doesn’t lower your expectations of our content, and I also hope you become a regular here~

It is okay, even bigger sites I’ve read have mistakes which have to get ironed out by a comment or two which points at them.

If I was the host of the project, I wouldn’t mind a later article which covers the update following the end of the Kickstarter as that is bound to happen, Update 10 happened after passing the goal and mentioned PayPal as a new method for funding: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rekcahdam/band-saga/posts/1002793

Either that or just a little more time spent on checking the details for one before the end of the project, it was never going to get the Vita goal, but it was nice to have more people hyped or interested in it.

I’ll be sticking around but don’t comment too much unless I know fellow Disqus mates from Siliconera, Gematsu and DualShockers will be around. I’ll warm up to the other people here with time and just want to see good articles.

Keep it up and I’ll definitely stick around.
