Baldur’s Gate 3 shaves cat after fans fall in love with a glitch

His Majesty Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 released an update recently, and among the myriad of patch notes and bug fixes was a small announcement that “His Majesty” had been shaved.

For those who don’t know His Majesty is a cat in the Last Light Inn, players with the Speak with Animals spell could have a hilarious conversation with this dramatic feline.

His Majesty quickly became a fan favorite NPC among players, but little did they know that this regal sphynx was actually meant to be considerably more fluffy. After the bug was fixed, players took to Twitter to voice their frustration.

His Majesty

In Hotfix #8 for Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian officially reverted His Majesty back to his shaved (and arguably more regal) appearance.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available now on Windows PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 5. An Xbox Series X|S port is still planned.
