Publisher Playstack and solo indie developer LocalThunk announced Balatro has sold over 2 million copies since its debut earlier this year.

The poker roguelike deckbuilder previously sold over 1 million copies within a month since its debut in February 2024 across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5.

The game’s developer also teased the first major and free gameplay update for the game is coming next year, bringing “new ideas and strategies to the game.”
