This week’s Famitsu (via Hachima) has the yearly gathering of developer interviews from a multitude of Japanese companies, each with their expectations for 2017.
While there are over 40 different game creators sounding off with thoughts and even new game teases, we’ve compiled some of the more noteworthy ones.
Atlus is reportedly ramping up “multiple” unannounced games for 2017, hot off the heels of their Project Re Fantasy reveal (pictured above). Idea Factory and Compile Heart are busy with sequels to existing titles as well as entirely new games.
5pb. is working on even more anime to game adaptations, which include both currently announced and yet to be announced titles. Valhalla Game Studios are still updating and supporting Devil’s Third Online, and are working on the Momotaro Dentetsu reboot – they teased undertaking “multiple” genres in 2017.
Finally, Koei Tecmo is working on the recently announced Dynasty Warriors 9, and are preparing “surprising” new games.
What do you hope to see from these Japanese creators? Sound off in the comments below!
