Koei Tecmo announced the launch date for Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg and along with it some special editions that fans of the franchise will enjoy.
The game was already confirmed to be coming out worldwide, so the English trailer about the same news dropping was no surprise.
However, what is a surprise is the notable differences between the two trailers being the ending where the special editions were shown off. The global launch won’t be seeing the physical release of the higher tier premium or special collection box.
Instead, those in the west can enjoy the digital deluxe edition, which comes with a costume set in-game, Atelier Marie Plus, and BGM soundtrack of Gust’s games. Given the name, this is only available digitally.
This might be disappointing news for fans outside of Japan who were hoping to have a physical edition of Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg or any of its special editions. As even if one were to import it, there is no confirmation if the game is playable in English.
Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg is set to release on July 13, 2023 across Windows PC (via Steam), Switch, PS4, and PS5. Find a rundown on the game below:
Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg
At the Royal Academy of Magic (the Academy for short), Marie is failing in her attempts to study alchemy. One day, she is given an atelier by her professor as part of a special graduation exam. In order to graduate, Marie must complete an item that will impress her professor.
But first, Marie must strive to improve her alchemy skills, collect ingredients, and earn money to hire adventurers and buy recipes and utensils… Add all of that to the synthesis, battles, and quests she must undertake, and it’s clear that she has a lot to do before she’s ready for her exam!
It’s up to you to choose where to begin! Work hard to graduate from the Academy, but be sure to enjoy yourself along the way.
