Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust announced a release date for Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg.

The remake for the first entry in the beloved alchemy RPG series is set for July 13, 2023 across Windows PC (via Steam), Switch, PS4, and PS5.

The remake was announced back during the Nintendo Direct earlier this month as part of their 25th year anniversary.

This announcement also has Koei Tecmo revealing the three editions of the game that will be purchasable for those picking up the console versions of the game.

Aside from the standard, which comes with the game on its own, there’s a deluxe edition will come with art book, clear card set, and selection CD with sounds from both the remake and original 1997 version. Lastly, the special collection box comes with the aforementioned items and B2 tapestry, special data book, acrylic diorama stand, and clear bookmark set.

The remake also got a new trailer which showcases the game’s visual updates, gameplay, and characters. Find a rundown on the game and the new trailer below:

At the Royal Academy of Magic (the Academy for short), Marie is failing in her attempts to study alchemy. One day, she is given an atelier by her professor as part of a special graduation exam. In order to graduate, Marie must complete an item that will impress her professor.

But first, Marie must strive to improve her alchemy skills, collect ingredients, and earn money to hire adventurers and buy recipes and utensils… Add all of that to the synthesis, battles, and quests she must undertake, and it’s clear that she has a lot to do before she’s ready for her exam!

It’s up to you to choose where to begin! Work hard to graduate from the Academy, but be sure to enjoy yourself along the way.
