Electronic Arts has officially confirmed a delay for Anthem, alongside some news for their other upcoming titles.
The BioWare-developed game will forgo its planned fall 2018 release for one sometime in early 2018, following rumors the game was hitting development woes coupled with EA setting a hard deadline of March 2019 after which they cannot delay the game further.
The publisher also further corroborated the rumor by confirming the next Battlefield game will launch in October of this year. The reasoning behind Anthem’s delay was their concern the new Battlefield game would overshadow its release.
Finally, EA confirmed the Respawn Entertainment-developed Star Wars game will probably move its targeted release to fiscal 2020, meaning it will launch sometime between April of 2019 and March of 2020.
