Anime fan ridiculed for liking My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute

My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute

An “interview” of sorts has been going viral online as the interviewer seemed to express judgement over an anime fan for liking the show “Ore no Imouto“, or My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute.

The short interview was uploaded to Twitter, where an interviewer in a Fortnite costume asked a person (at what seemed to be an anime convention) what their favorite anime was:

The anime in question, Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (“My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute“, also known as “Ore no Imouto“), is a show where a male character comes to better understand his reclusive sister, who has a penchant for otaku culture and eroge.

The show (which was immensely popular in Japan) eventually veers into romance as the sister expresses romantic feelings for her brother, a common trope in Japanese anime and manga, and one that the interviewer was clearly not aware of.

The interviewer’s “judgemental silence” was not well-taken on Twitter, as some berated the interviewer for being critical over having his question answered.

However, there were others that criticized the man for liking the fictional anime, with the usual individuals who seem to know little about anime or Japanese otaku culture seeming to be the majority.
