The Wandering Bard have announced The Lost Tundra, a big free update to their flying city builder Airborne Kingdom.

Airborne Kingdom‘s The Lost Tundra update will be released for free on September 19th. This update adds the titular Lost Tundra, a desolate frozen biome far to the north. This region is meant to be explored late in the game, after you already have a stable airship kingdom.

The Lost Tundra will be a challenging area to survive in due to its nearly nonexistent resources. Even worse, the tundra’s subzero temperatures will actually affect your city. The cold will cause parts to freeze up, reducing their performance or even risking the structural integrity of your city altogether.

These freezing temperatures can be mitigated with the new Furnace structure. However, the Furnace is heavy and consumes precious coal, a resource that is hard to come by in the Lost Tundra, forcing you to make critical decisions about where to place Furnaces.
